SEWP: Where Government Buys IT
Getting the IT you need is as easy as "Duck SEWP"!

Using the NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP IV) GWAC is as easy as “Duck SEWP”! That’s because of the “always driven by the customer focus” of the SEWP Program Office and Contract Holders.

SEWP—the first Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC)—has been serving government customers for 17 years constantly improving to meet the ever growing and changing needs of government IT buyers.

For example here’s is what Joanne Woytek announced was new from SEWP in her opening statements at the SEWP Conference in Orlando in April:

1. Email ticketing is now being used to track orders giving customers more knowledge to track progress.

2. Improved ability to provide secondary contact information within the RFQ Tool makes it easier for buyers to keep more people informed of the status.

3. The benefits of using specific, clear language in an email subject line that includes the letters RFQ. This makes it easier for Contract Holders to identify opportunities more quickly and thus provide buyers with more choices.

4. Chat Tool boosts customer communication. Use the New SEWP Chat tool and get IM capabilities during business hours with the SEWP Help Desk. Click here for details.

5. Credit card orders can now be done online — up to a $100,000 limit. Click here for details.

6. New Training Video. More than 4,500 have taken SEWP Training, many through the Video. Now showing is the new, updated video with everything you need to know about using SEWP. It’s open to both government and industry. For Defense and VA SEWP users it is a must. Click here to sign up and watch.

Quality Ingredients Mix To Make Great SEWP

Open To All Federal Agencies — Civilian and Defense — That Means You!

60+ agencies and their authorized contractors now use the SEWP GWAC.

In fact, 2,300 federal sites place over 1,100 orders per month, choosing from 38 competed Prime Contract Holders, including 21 Small Businesses and 9 Veteran-Owned Businesses, 6 of which are SDVOSB (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses) and six non-competed 8(a) Set-Aside Contractors.

IT Products Are The Focus

SEWP is currently logs $1.9 billion in annual sales. The “SEWP BOWL” processes more than 25,000 orders per year; orders average $60,000. Some firm fixed-price services in support of products are available. Check with SEWP.

The basic buckets are IT, AV or supporting IT. So, in scope are IT product solutions and related technology, as long as it’s in the IT product world; any kind of hardware, software in the IT arena, audio visual equipment, teleconferencing, video and anything related to those types of technologies, plus supporting technologies like printers and fax machines.

Supporting services must be product related such as installation, training, site planning and warranty. SEWP is not a labor services contract.

On Demand, Dynamic Catalog Meets Your On Demand Needs

The question is not is whether an IT product is on SEWP, the question is what do you want to purchase? And if it’s not on SEWP, the product can usually be added within 24-48 hours.

With SEWP there is no real static, “printed” catalog, only an on demand catalog. When you need a product to be added to SEWP, contract holders take your request and add those products as long as they meet SEWP pricing and scope requirements.

Think of SEWP as having a database with a request system where you tell potential suppliers what you need and you get it. IT certainly isn’t static, so why not use an IT catalog that changes as products change and your needs change. You can find an exact fit for your needs at the best overall value by searching the SEWP website and choosing the right solutions offered directly by leading hardware and software manufacturers and experienced Government integrators.

Low 0.5% Fee, Low Prices

SEWP offers low prices that are generally lower than GSA Schedule. SEWP has the lowest surcharge (0.5%) and the easiest and fastest ordering procedure using pre-competed contracts. Plus there is a $10,000 cap on the fee.

1-Day Turnaround Business Model Means Customer Service Is King

Benefit from a 1-Day turnaround business model where you get personal service when you need it to augment online services such as quotes, Product Verification and faster ordering with continuous proactive tracking. Based on your experiences, contract holders are rated, with results public.

Online Tools – Check Out The New Chat Tool

Save time by using powerful online tools to automatically get multiple quotes. Use the RFQ, Manufacturer Look Up and Product Verification Tools to request basic pricing information or submit a formal request for quotation. Attach your own files to your request and avoid retyping all your information. Search to determine pricing and availability and if you need help use the new Chat Tool.

Attention Contracting and Procurement personnel!
